JUPITER DIRECT CHANGES THE WORLD AS YOU KNOW IT
THE PERSONAL SIDE
💥 HOLISTIC ASTROLOGY
March 11th, 2026
Jupiter has just turned direct at its favorite degree in the tropical zodiac, following what may be the most significant Jupiter retrograde cycle of our lifetimes. Most people can undoubtedly expect some remarkably positive, much needed turning of events after a depressing previous four months, but on a geopolitical level, the picture is much more complicated. In this piece and another to come, I’ll be exploring that dichotomy, along with a peek at the war from the point of view of the charts of the US, Iran, and Donald Trump.
You can read more about what I had said about the Jupiter Rx cycle before the fact in my Nov 4, 2025 piece titled, “We’re about to take a very dark turn,” which was seen by over 140,000 people on reddit. That article unfortunately turned out to be relatively, if not quite, accurate in terms of my predictions for this four-month time period that we have just endured and survived.
JUPITER DIRECT, THE PERSONAL IMPACT
Before we dive into hopes and fears for Jupiter turning direct on a global scale, which I’ll have to cover in a separate article, let’s start with some optimism and hope for your personal life. Now, it’s not the case that Jupiter direct in Cancer is predominantly welcomed and seemingly beneficial for everyone. For example, some responses to my previously mentioned post came from people with Cancer Rising who found that Jupiter direct in Cancer in 2025 hadn’t felt so beneficial for them.
I had explained that when you have Cancer Rising, Jupiter is the lord of the 6th House, a house called “bad luck” by ancient astrologers, and so can actually turn up the volume on undesirable outcomes. Real, holistic astrology is always more complex than our simplified concepts would indicate. For example, Jupiter also rules the 9th from Cancer, generally the most fortunate house. So Jupiter in Cancer can go either way, or both ways, for Cancers, and it’s also more complex and mixed for Capricorn, Taurus, and Libra.
So while it is impossible and incorrect to predict a positive turning of events for billions of people all at once—as that’s obviously unrealistic and inaccurate—I would still maintain that most people by far will find some significant positive turning of trends beginning today, March 11th, 2026, for reasons already explained in my November 4, 2025 piece, pertaining to the nature of retrogradation and the way it reverses sign energy. In essence, Jupiter in Cancer while retrograde behaves much like Jupiter in Capricorn, where Jupiter finds his “depression” or “fall.” But that phase is done for now, until it occurs again in the sidereal zodiac from January 24, 2027 until April 13, 2027.
I’ve been asking a lot of people about how things like finances have been going for them during the recent Jupiter Rx, over the last four months. And almost without fail, I found that people were overall finding finances tighter and harder during this period, with equivalent challenges on mental and emotional levels.
I've experienced this myself, including one of the slower periods in my own practice in years, leading to me picking up some extra work on the side for the first time in over a decade. It even saw both me and my 11-year-old spending nights in a hospital bed due to sudden bad luck over the last few weeks. But I knew about the astrology going on, and so I figured it was a period to endure that would improve soon enough. And as I checked my bank account just this morning after Jupiter had turned direct, I found a much more normal and comfortable amount for me, following my astrological work picking up to a more typical demand just recently.
This is what I had expected, as the retro Jupiter phase was highlighted by financial fears that caused us to collectively constrict and spend less (a necessary consolidating economic phase), and now we’re entering a period when financial matters will be more highlighted by flow, hope, and optimism for most people. Going forward, we’ll see more opportunity for spending for the purpose of expansion, and people following financial markets can probably expect to see some noticeable upturns in the months to follow—though we will see how the price of oil may or may not disrupt this growth.
A friend of mine has been enduring a prolonged delay in the remodeling of his home, punctuated by sudden and unexpected expenses, and I’ve been telling him to hang in there and look for things to really improve and begin to wrap up starting around March 11th. His place is still a work in progress thanks to hiring the wrong contractor and will be for a while longer, but I suspect he’ll find things moving forward more positively in the coming months.
In essence, you can look at the areas of your life that, over the last four months, have felt restricted, depressing, heavy, or hopeless, and reasonably expect some kind of turnaround, quite possibly a dramatic turnaround. This is so necessary right now, because the recent retrograde has really weighed on our collective optimism.
But here you are, you’ve endured and survived a real test of your faith and hope, and despite the larger worldly events that will continue to challenge our sense of normalcy, especially in the United States, you may now find the wind beginning to blow at your back, rather than at your face and knocking you backward or down. We need this, not only personally, but collectively, as hope is a necessary ingredient if we hope to see and create positive change.
This world presents an endless swing of duality’s pendulums, and we’ve just trudged through a winter that—for most—is especially metaphorical with colder and harsher conditions, though even these conditions can remind us how much we may have had to be grateful for, while also bringing us down to earth and reality and checking our sense of entitlement.
However, the downside of this Jupiterian swing back toward some optimism and expansion should also be noted. Excessive faith can lead ultimately to constriction, if we aren’t careful. If we experience some upcoming boons, we should also remain realistic rather than drunk on faith, and save for rainy days. This can be understood financially, but personally as well, with a need to remain humble and keep our grandest visions in check and grounded. This kind of depressing, wintry astrology will return from from January 24, 2027 until April 13, 2027, when Jupiter turns retrograde in Cancer again, in sidereal (typically, Vedic) astrology, a time during which I think we are likely to see the most dramatic economic downturn.
Having reached this turning point, we might be able to appreciate the value of such challenges. There’s a bit of “whatever doesn’t kill us makes us stronger” here. My kiddo had to have an emergency surgery due to orbital cellulitis, which of course is a bit terrifying for a parent, and for a moment, in the following week, it looked like I might need one as well as what had at first been misdiagnosed as a bowel blockage was found to be most likely a situation of food poisoning. He and I both took ambulance rides to a hospital and spend a collective week there, and while this experience does give me a new medical bill, escaping with our health fully intact has filled me with a deeper sense of gratitude than I’ve enjoyed in sometime. I had thought for a moment that I might have to miss my softball season! Talk about serious!!
This week figures to be dramatic on the global scale, and so I’m going to be watching news and markets closely to see the new direction forming. The momentum that turns or builds this week should tell us a lot about what to expect for the coming months. I’ll write more about that very soon, I hope, but in the meantime, I hope you get a chance to take a deep breath and feel the presence of a divine grace in your life, with this massive shift in the prevailing winds.
Gratitude is always one of our most powerful keys to unleashing that cooling breeze. Gratitude really can change your life. It’s a potent vibration you can permeate your being with. Any time I’ve dove deeply into gratitude with all of my heart and mind, something noticeably wonderful always follows soon after. Love and embrace your people today, and give thanks for being able to give thanks.
Humbly,
In surrender,
May all beings be happy and free!
The picture was taken after returning from the hospital with my youngest child, on one of the happiest days of my life, and Jupiter can be seen in the top right over the nearly full moon.

I really was drawn to the photo you posted and thought how welcoming and full of light it seemed. Only at the end when I read your last sentences did it come full circle. It was a most happy homecoming ! I hope you are all doing well now. Thank you for your post - and your previous post as they have helped make sense of so much that’s been happening and what it may be leading to the future. Thank you for lighting the way…
Moses, you are the bearer of great news! Wonderful. I look forward to the Jupiter effect kicking in. Maybe all of the groundwork will finally come together 💫💫💫
